About This RoleAbout the roleWe are looking for an experienced Computer systems and network engineer to join our Simulator Technician team In this role you will be responsible for the continuous operation of a Simulator Training Systems and other mission support systems.
You will handle the following components: Computing and Networking.
Systems.
This position will perform ordinary / extraordinary maintenance and repair tasks to ensure contractual availability to the Customer.Job ResponsibilitiesPrepare simulators for customer training (i.e.
daily start-up and shut-down of training systems, daily morning readiness test).Investigate, isolate and rectify Hardware reported problems.Perform daily preventive maintenancePerform troubleshooting and maintenance work (repairs)Daily administration and maintenance of computing systems and networksKeep Software updated according to Software configuration policyContribute in troubleshooting Software snagsKeep Software Back-up records as necessaryData logging of activities and relevant information (e.g.
environmental data, training sessions,…)Skill and Competence RequirementsHigh School/Bachelor in Informatics/Electronics Engineering or equivalent experienceIT Background with good knowledge on system administration for Windows and Linux based Operative Systems both Client and ServerExperience with Backup management/Disaster Recovery methodologiesExperience on complex network distributed systemsGood Knowledge on Windows network configuration and access management (Active Directory Domain Services)Complex System Troubleshooting and bug-fixing capabilitiesExperience on software programming (C, C++) and scripting languagesExperience on software configuration toolsGood English spoken and writtenAviation/aerospace enthusiasts particularly welcomePosition TypeRegularCAE thanks all applicants for their interest.
