support the execution of these exciting programs (GALILEO, Moonlight, LEO PNTIod, etc.);contribute to the acquisition of new business opportunities;foster the Research & Development activities in the satellite navigation domain.Location: Rome.
LifeI as a Thales system engineer role As a System Engineering Role within Thales, you will:
Analyze and understand customer needs through advanced studies, simulations, mock-ups, models, prototypes, …Formalize specifications and architecture used to propose the best solution / product to your clientsPrepare and carry out integration, verification and validation testsDefine test plans and procedures for system level testingEnsure the technical integration and coherence of the system design, interfaces, and performances.Design the architecture of the command and control systemDemonstrate the solution to the customerMoreove, you will:
Contribute to the growth of the engineering department activities (e.g. acquisition of new contract, definition of the strategy for the evolution of the competences of the department, etc.)Contribute to the R&D activities through the proposal and execution of new studiesSupport the interaction with the University, through the definition and the follow-up of thesis, stage, etc.Have the opportunity to participate to international meetings and conference held worldwideLanguage: fluent English, spoken and written
Competencies:
A master's degree in electronic, telecommunications, computer science, aerospace engineering or equivalent;Knowledge about basic telecommunication principles (propagation error, access schema, modulations, etc.);Familiarity with the usage of System Engineering Tools (e.g. MBSE Tools, Requirement Management Tools, Simulation Tools, Matlab, etc.);Knowledge of Satellite Navigation and/or Communication System, with an experience on the field of at least 5 years;Experience with leading engineering projects or activities;Capability to adapt and react to change;Distinct propensity to team working and problem solving, proactivity and attitude to find innovative solutions.At Thales Alenia Space we provide CAREERS and not only jobs.
