We invite you to re-imagine health promoting protocols with us, working alongside our talented, bright and energetic teams.We are seeking an experienced and motivated Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Sr. Manager/Associate Director to lead global EHS programs and initiatives for our clinical development business unit. This EHS Leader will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, patients, and communities, while also maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards. This position reports to the Group Executive Director and will collaborate closely with leaders across the organization.Responsibilities:Develop and execute the global EHS strategy in alignment with PPD's mission and values. Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership on EHS matters.Identify, assess, and prioritize EHS risks and hazards within the organization's operations and projects. Develop and implement effective mitigation plans.Partner with and guide operational managers to promote a culture of safety and sustainability. Lead the office and clinical ergonomics program. Establish and manage incident reporting and investigation processes. Lead incident response efforts and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop corrective actions. Support the Workers Compensation Insurance process.Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety laws, regulations, and industry standards across all regions of operation.Drive environmental sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction, energy efficiency, and emissions reduction. Promote environmentally responsible practices throughout the organization.Introduce EHS performance metrics and reporting systems. Provide regular updates to assigbed senior management teams.Engage with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, industry associations, and community groups, to build positive relationships and represent the organization on EHS matters.Qualifications and Experience:Master's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Science, Health Care or a related field. 5 years of experience in EHS leadership role(s) within the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or clinical research industry preferred.In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations and standards in one or more jurisdictions. Experience supporting multiple countries preferred.Demonstrated ability to influence and drive change within an organization.Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
