JOB PURPOSE We are seeking a Data Science Specialist to join our corporate Data & Analytics Team. The ideal candidate will work within our HQ WW Team based in Milan, leading the development and management of data science and AI projects that address real-world business challenges across all company departments.
RESPONSIBILITIES Design and implement data science solutions for sales forecasting and stock management, collaborating with key stakeholders to build predictive models and analytics tools.Lead the development and industrialization of forecasting projects, working with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into scalable, data-driven solutions.Deliver ad hoc analyses and insights, providing actionable recommendations to optimize processes and drive business results.Build and deploy highly efficient and scalable ETL and data manipulation processes using big data and cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, Databricks).Develop and maintain robust data pipelines to support continuous improvement and scalability.Monitor the performance of models over time, proactively identifying opportunities for adjustments or improvements to enhance accuracy and effectiveness.Provide training and support to stakeholders on how to use data science models and interpret their outputs for strategic decision-making.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Master's degree in a highly quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science) or equivalent experience.
2+ years of industry experience in forecasting modeling, data science, and analytics.
Advanced proficiency in Python and PySpark; knowledge of SQL is a plus.
Proven experience in developing and implementing forecasting models.
Experience with Databricks, Azure, and IDEs is preferred.
Fluency in both Italian and English, written and spoken.
