This role plays a pivotal part in aligning our New Product Development (NPD) initiatives with the Vetropack 2030 Strategy, driving product innovation, and meeting market demands.
You'll have the chance to lead cross-functional teams, optimise processes, and bring innovative ideas to life while shaping the future of sustainable packaging solutions.
Position Overview As the Group NPD Manager, you will support the development of glass products and secondary packaging that address market needs, focusing on unique selling points, sustainability, and customised solutions.
This position bridges innovation, marketing, production, and customer insights, ensuring efficient development cycles and seamless transitions from concept to production.
Key Responsibilities Align NPD initiatives with strategic objectives, including sustainability goals and customer segmentation.
Review and optimise the NPD process, introducing a stage-gate methodology to improve product innovation rates.
Lead cross-functional teams across Marketing, Performance Management, and Customer Experience to align on innovation goals.
Define ownership, templates, timelines, and success criteria for NPD projects.
Manage risks proactively and develop mitigation strategies.
Implement agile methodologies and best practices to enhance NPD processes.
Develop and present business cases for new products and services.
Collaborate with the Head of Innovation and Group Marketing to create a robust innovation roadmap for the rigid packaging and Food & Beverage industries.
Foster a culture of innovation and process improvement through continuous engagement and training.
Support the transition to sustainable secondary packaging in line with SBTi targets.
Requirements University Degree Experience: 3+ years in New Product Development or related roles.
5+ years in a leadership capacity, managing cross-functional teams.
Proven expertise in stage-gate methodologies, risk management, and process optimisation.
Familiarity with sustainability drivers and industry regulations.
Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.
English C1 level.
The Ideal Candidate Strategic thinker with a strong ability to translate market needs into innovative solutions.
Collaborative leader with experience in matrix organisations and cross-functional team coordination.
Proactive problem solver with a passion for continuous improvement and sustainability.
Available for travelling up to 40% of time.
