- Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services with 231 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, films, and games across a wide variety of genres and languages.
Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.
To support this growth, we are looking for an Event Specialist for the Italy region who will be based out of our office in Rome and will work with the Event Manager for Italy.
The Role
- This role will play a key role in strategizing, executing, and managing external events as part of the publicity and marketing team.
They will be a member of a broader, seasoned group of events professionals, who are based across the local offices in EMEA.
This role will be responsible for collaborating on delivering the events for Italy and will report to the Event Manager in Italy.
The goal of the team is to drive conversation around Netflix titles, talent, and the brand through curated external and internal events and experiences.
The specialist will work with the cross-functional team that is helping to create, shape, execute and manage campaigns for our content, meaning that they will have to be in sync and show curiosity about promotional efforts and contribute to building campaigns with new and innovative events ideas.
This is also a hands-on role and one that requires end-to-end project management of some events, whilst also working as a support on other events.
This will involve varying tasks such as leading cross-functional project task force groups, managing agency pitches, ideating event creative, overseeing guest communications, formulating budgets, handling event admin, and much more.
They are able to make wise decisions, even when faced with ambiguity.
This person can articulate what they are, and are not, trying to do.
They are a good listener and a real doer.
They are organized, thorough, and not afraid to get their hands dirty with event tactics yet can couple that with high-level strategy and determine if an event is the right solution for a campaign or not.
- Success in the role is someone who can simplify even the most challenging of situations, leaving partners and talent impressed and feeling like their event is in very safe and trusted hands.
- Has a minimum of 5 years of experience in an end-to-end events' management role, shaping strategy through to execution at an agency, entertainment studio, network, or with a global brand.
- A deep understanding of the Italian market and entertainment landscape.
- Has demonstrable experience in in-person and virtual event production and is curious to continually innovate in this space to take our events to the next level.
- In addition to being fluent in Italian, proficiency in written and spoken English is a requirement for this role.
- Is extremely organized, and can formulate and manage an event budget, giving visibility into their process successfully.
- Thrives in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, comfortable in managing multiple projects concurrently under deadlines and pressure.
- A good fit for this role is someone who has a candid and direct communication style, has a strong POV, and can expertly influence key stakeholders and foster deep relationships across the business.
