**Industrial Quality Inspector**

**Purpose of the Job**

Inspection of part / product / train / installation and reporting of defects & ensure product compliance (check after rework).

**Responsibilities**
The Quality inspector ensures the compliance of products and parts delivered by the ALSTOM facilities. He / She performs inspections, checks, tests, and sampling procedures according to the applicable instructions on products ready for delivery and on products during their manufacturing process. He / She validates manufacturing control plans. These control plans are written in close relationship with PME teams.
Accountabilities & Authorities:

- Perform inspections and ensure product compliance (check after rework).
- Records inspection results in the industrial digital tools as required.
- Perform destructive & non-destructive examination when required and qualified.
- Maintain inspection records per component, assembly and vehicle.
- Maintain Quality documentation for components, assemblies and vehicles.
- Participate in customer joint inspections.
- Preparation of approval and shipping documents.
- Control the correct calibration of critical equipment's and instrumentations used in the inspections.
- Participation to the Problem solving process related to issues found during manufacturing activities
- Perform/participate to product/process audit
- Perform handover inspection to evaluate product quality at each stage prior to transfer the products to the next one

**Performance Measurement**
- Inspection method time adherence.
- Defect characterization.
- Management of rework

**Requirements**:

- Associates degree, technical major preferred.
- Previous similar quality inspection experience within manufacturing industry.
- Awareness on processes and products delivered in the project.
- Experience in Quality / audit are appreciated.
- Must be able to read and search drawings (2D, 3D) / specifications and familiar with a variety of test equipment.
- Good knowledge of Office (Excel, Power Point)
- Qualified on special process of his/her scope of work
- Knowledge of Quality standard (ISO9001, IRIS, CMMI,) and quality tools, experience in Non Destructive Testing - is a plus
- Knowledge on Problem solving process (8D, 5W..), green belt qualification would be a plus
- Experience in operational activities, in documentation management & collaboration and team working.
- Predisposed to Team Work.
- Good skill communication skills inside and outside the team.
- Italian - fluent, English
- is highly appreciated.
