General Insurance is a leading provider of insurance products and services for commercial and personal insurance customers. Corporate operations provide a wide range of services to the organization such as finance, internal audit, communications, security and human resources.

About the role

This role will be a critical contributor to develop insurance business opportunities through Partners that will agree to distribute our products to their customers, with a specific focus on the Italian Market.

There will be an expectation that this role can open where AIG will lead ahead of competition.

Responsibilities will include full underwriting activities, like: developing new market opportunities, managing of the assigned current portfolio (data collection, submissions, and similar), related internal and external reporting, clients’ targeting. It will also be responsible for all the related technical & administrative aspects, and contribute the reaching of monthly, quarterly & annual budget goals through the profitable portfolio growth.

**The responsibilities for this role include**:
Responsible for analyzing risk and underwriting all products for casualty
Reviews new and renewal business submissions, evaluating account performance and risk factors
Documents underwriting files according to established guidelines
Ensures the quality of the underwriting practice and adheres to Best Practices and underwriting policies, guidelines and procedures
Develops and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external business partners
Contribute to continuous improvement of the underwriting process (service levels, turn times, error rates, customer experience, and underwriting leakage)
Develops renewal negotiation strategies. Presents renewal to justify rates and negotiate the renewal strategy
Communicates with producers and clients to ensure common understanding of terms, conditions and ratings, and quotations; and resolves procedural and computational problems of involved, lengthy, multi-location, or difficult risks
Maintains effective producer and client relationships
Demonstrates intimate knowledge of current regulatory issues, economic indicators, trends and competitor strategies

**What we’re looking for**:
Technical underwriting experience with casualty Insurance products
Analytical and quantitative skills
Process and system skills
Strong customer service ethic, with a sound understanding of the business processes and Aware of legal and regulatory requirements
Good level of English and Fluent in Italian
Strong presentation, prioritization, and time management
Strong execution and results orientation
Strong communication (oral and written) and influencing skills and proven ability to collaborate and work across multiple areas of the organization
Proven ability to build strong relationships with producer, clients and colleagues
