Posting Date: 9 Nov 2023- City: Genova- Location: Genova, IT, 16128- Contract Type: Permanent- Division: Marine Compliance, Classification & Statutory Cert- Level of experience: JuniorRINA is currently recruiting for a **Fleet Performance & Port State Control Technician** to join its office in Genoa, Italy** **within the Marine Compliance, Classification & Statutory Certification Division.

**Mission**:
Cooperate to the achievement of the best possible standard for the RINA fleet of ships

**Responsibilities**:

- Monitoring the performance of the RINA classed fleet, according to assigned key performance indicators, e.g. relating to worldwide Port State Control statistics (detentions and deficiencies), casualty statistics and specific internal schemes
- Supporting Marine Operations in the measures to be taken regarding PSC performance
- Managing Port State Control activities, including liaison with PSC Administrations and PSC Memoranda of Understanding
- Recording of information relevant to Port and Flag State Inspection in the RINA systems, communication to Flag State Administrations and other interested parties, preparation of statistical analysis and periodical reports, monitoring of PSC websites
- Recording of information about casualties affecting RINA classed ships; preparation of statistical analysis and reports
- Analysis of PSC detentions follow-up surveys reports and reports of surveys carried out before the PSC detentions
- Review of comments provided by the Marine Operations (RINA Offices) concerning surveys carried out before detentions and preparation of the eventual associated “technical error” report
- Review of performance of ships under monitoring schemes
- Participation to audits by external bodies
- Preparation of technical bulletins relevant to PSC issues
- Preparation and review of procedures/instructions/forms pertaining to fleet performance

**Education**:

- Master’s Degree
Bachelor’s Degree in Naval Engineering
