**Job Description Summary**: Avio Aero Advanced Technology Operations is looking for a Staff Engineer to join our Advanced Systems & Preliminary Design team as part of Military Systems team.

The Staff Engineer’s prime responsibility will be to lead overall execution and integration of Military Engine Demonstrator.

Military Engine Demonstrator Owner will play a critical role in the Systems team, demonstrating leadership in managing technical and operational execution strategy, and engaging across Avio Aero departments and with industrial. Military Engine Demonstrator Owner contributes directly to Avio Aero short & long-term business goals.

Activities include coordination of subsystems design activities, integration with disciplines, coordination of engine level trade studies, hardware plan coordination with Global Supply Chain, reporting towards leadership and customers, requirements development, traceability and flow down, developing/executing validation test procedures, and providing support to manufacturing and tests execution enabling module technology maturation plan, including complete oversight of TRL6 execution through Engine testing.

**Essential Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate engine demonstrator design and procurement activities
- Provide technical oversight across systems, subsystems and disciplines
- Lead system integration of engine demonstrator including requirements, interfaces,
- Define trade off strategies and manage technical decisions across design team
- Lead implementation into engine demonstrator of results of technology projects developed within military program
- Coordinate with technology maturation stream to maximize technological content of engine demonstrator
- Engage and coordinate external partners according with military program rules
- Manage relationship with industrial partners
- Coordinate technology efforts with other Research initiatives in adjacent areas
- Implement security rules according with military program requirements
- Identify need for technical and program reviews within the organization
- Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical requirements, schedules and program commitments for technology maturation projects
- Develop action plans to anticipate and respond to problems
- Provide technical leadership to cross-functional teams and mentor others in the organization
- Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
- Monitor and communicate program status, business issues and significant developments
- Lead or participate in organizational efforts in assigned projects and/or tasks

**Qualifications/Requirements**:

- Master Degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited university
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in design of engine systems and subsystems
- Strong experience in mechanical design and integration
- Experience in coordination of complex projects, including multiple partners collaboration
- Clear thinking and diligent approach
- English and Italian language knowledge, both written and oral.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required
- Italian citizenship
