**HIV Medical Scientist (HMS) - ViiV Healthcare - Lazio, Toscana, Umbria**

In alignment with Company’s values and Country strategy, the HIV Medical Scientist (HMS) is the responsible for the medical activities implementation in the field area of competence, with the ownership on local medical projects and cross - functional collaboration with field functions.

**Key Accountabilities**:
The HMS in alignment with the strategic priorities of ViiV Italy is responsible for:
1. Support Key External Experts and other HCPs in properly management of HIV Disease and treatments
- Proactively for approved products and in label date
- Reactively with regards to off label data or not yet approved drugs

2. Support Key External Experts and other HCPs in Scientific update to prepare lectures /speeches for independent and VHL-sponsored programs

3. Support Key External Experts and other HCPs in Clinical development activities; ISSs and RWE studies discussion and follow up - connection with Medical Advisors

4. Gather insights from the field and properly share with HMSs Manager, CMD and MST

5. Support and facilitate the field implementation of medical activities

**Basic Qualifications & Skills**:

- Degree: Medicine/ Pharmacy/ Biology
- English: Advanced
- Working area**:Lazio, Toscana, Umbria; **Residency: preferably **Rome or surrounding areas;**
- Residency and/or Post-doctoral training in a clinical practice/pharmaceutical industry setting
- Demonstrated understanding of the Italian healthcare environment
- Ability to work cross functionally.

**Prefereed Qualifications & Skills**:

- Experience in Infectious Diseases/ HIV is a plus
