The Contract Management and P2P (**Procure-to-Pay) **Lead will be accountable for the local support of the new Vaccines R&D Laboratory Operations organization in Belgium, Italy, and the U.S, ensuring efficient support for contracts/agreements with third parties and academic/scientific collaborators to the scientific areas of the Vaccines R&D organization.

The Contract Management & P2P Lead
- Ensure End to End support to scientists for third parties’ management including academic/scientific collaboration
- Oversee contract management with Third party providers ensuring compliance with our internal processes/requirement, managing the contract lifecycle and monitoring contract performance in collaboration with Scientist.
- Manage the P2P process related to the contracts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Procurement, Finance, Legal, Business Development, External R&D, Scientists (business owners) and Quality to ensure alignment in contracts terms and P2P processes.
- Develop and implement process improvements to optimize efficiency
- Support the R&D teams in achieving project goals by providing timely and accurate information on contract status, risks and opportunities

As a Contract Management & P2P you will supporting the on-time delivery of the R&D pipeline, ensuring compliance/quality/performance/value of the services/products received/acquired, and identifying opportunities to accelerate improvements to each, focusing on the contracting, continuous improvements, and benefit delivery.

**Local Contract Management **&** Procure-to-Pay**
- Responsible for being the point of contact for business owners within Vx R&D Labs Operations on contractual matters and being at the interface with external (third parties) and internal stakeholders (Business Development, Procurement, Legal, Finance etc.).
- Responsible for vendor creation, modification master maintenance, shopping cart/purchase requisition, purchase order, and invoice support including liaising with Procurement and Finance to resolve P2P issues.
- Responsible for efficient and effective operations related to R&D contract management from initial request to contract archiving and purchase order, ensuring the necessary in process controls have been met before processing an agreement. This includes ensuring the corporate Third-Party Corporate risk management program (TPRM), the Governance of Legal Agreements (GOLA) and the Buying Good and Services Policy (BG&S) are implemented and controlled.
- Ensure GSK compliance to contractual terms, including delivery and payment terms and liaise with P2P and global supporting functions to ensure such terms are fulfilled, GSK contractual obligations are respected, including on time payment of invoices.
- Partners with Business Development, External R&D, and Business Owners (Vx R&D scientists) on 3rd party contracts related to Scientific Collaborations supporting third party oversight activities related to due diligence, ABAC, vendor oversight as well as contract execution
- Provide guidance and training to their respective business owners related to contracting practices and procedures.
- Ensure adherence to governance process for contract sign off within Vx R&D Labs.
- Reduce time to contract and improve contract terms to protect future GSK interests in quality of delivery.
- Responsible to maintain the register of third-party contracts and Academic Collaboration partners

**Performance Management and KPI reporting**
- Responsible for reporting the Contract Management & Procure-to-Pay KPIs

**Continuous Improvement**
- Responsible for continuous improvement, simplification and alignment on the processes related to Contract Management and Procure-to-Pay. Proactively drive a mindset of continuous improvement of processes and value creation without compromising compliance, quality, or customer service

**Business partnering & stakeholder management in GSK**
- Single Point of Contact for either IT, BE or the US Vx R&D, ensuring support to Vx R&D Lab Operations related activities
- Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders in R&D and effective partnerships with EHS, Facilities & Engineering, Finance, Legal, Procurement, and Quality to translate Vaccines R&D strategy into efficient and reliable execution

**Market Intelligence**
- True understanding of cost drivers and Cost of Goods (COGs)
- Third party capabilities and strategic direction

**Risk Management / ICF**
- Identify and mitigate all forms of risk (within their remit) that impact the Vx R&D organization from the use of third parties: Quality, Service, Cost and Capacity, ensuring that GSK remains in business with its reputation maintained
- Ensure risk management process is in place
- Ensure audit
