**Role Overview**

The Program Manager is responsible to manage all the activities related to the development and implementation process of a new program, with the objective of respecting the timing and profitability established at the award.

Through the coordination of an assigned cross-functional team, he plans the necessary resources and activities, defines the milestones to be respected, verifies the fulfillment of the tasks assigned to the various company functions and periodically reports the progress to the company and to the customer.

The activity of the program manager ends on the production end date of the new product.

**Key tasks**
- Define the general operational plan of the program, including the use of all necessary resources.
- Detail the planning of all activities according to the milestones defined by the customer (tools: MS Project and office package).
- Define and manage the program's APQP with quality
- Define the deliverables of the program and use all the appropriate LEAR tools (LPMP, Learpro, Profile, OI Roadmap, PLM) to oversee and control the progress.
- Communicate regularly with the work team (tool: periodic progress meetings) and periodically with the function managements, promoting meetings in which to promptly inform the top management of particular critical issues and/or needs or in which to report the progress of the program ( tools: MGR, Program Reviews)
- Manage the start of production of changes
- Promote creativity and innovation, actively contributing to the updating of company processes aimed at improving customer satisfaction and program profitability
- Identify all possible issues and critical points and assign the necessary corrective actions.
- Estimate the project cost plan, supporting the dedicated technical design (tool: APR, PAR)
- Manage project financial resources in order to meet client and Lear expectations. In particular, promote any activity aimed to guarantee that the profitability of the program is equal to or greater than the target set by the company management in the business acquisition phase
- Monitor project performance throughout its serial life, through periodic cost enhancement and updating activities, in collaboration with the Finance department (tools: MGR, OI roadmaps, Customer Tooling Job Orders and Work Order Engineering)
- Coordinate the implementation of the program cost reduction plan, involving all company functions (tools: OI Roadmap, APR)
- Collaborate with all corporate entities to ensure compliance with internally agreed timelines and with the customer for MDS, PPAP and sample availability for approval
- Collaborate with the PETC center for the creation/approval of IMDSs (MDS Champion)
- Contribute to the achievement of the quality objectives set annually by the customer, evaluating, with the support of the Quality and Operations departments, the introduction of essential product changes
- Manage customer relations, with the established frequency and the contents of the messages prepared by the Company
- Promote and organize periodic meetings with the customer to verify the progress of the project and to discuss the major critical issues
- Report the level of customer satisfaction to the Company
- Estimate the workload requirements and the resources necessary for the execution of key activities, in coordination with the functional managers of the various entities
- Assign responsibilities and objectives to the working group
- Maintain oversight of the group, providing necessary feedback and paying attention to the qualitative and quantitative performance of the group
- Force interaction and active communication between resources, promoting a relaxed and collaborative work climate and intervening in the resolution of possible conflicts

**Key Requirements**
- Fluent in English and Italian
- University degree in Economics / Engineering
- Experience leading projects + 5 year, in automotive is a plus.
