SICIM is a Construction Company established in 1962 and offering all types of services related to the installation of pipelines and relevant ancillary facilities for the transmission and distribution of oil, gas and water on an international basis.We are looking for a QAQC Manager to be based on one of our projects in Iraq. The QAQC Manager reports to the PM and functionally reports to the Corporate Quality Coordinator. He acts as an independent department and is not bound by production and construction requirements.
In particular, he is responsible for:

- making sure that the Company Quality Policy standards and the Quality Manual are duly observed on the Project;
- the correct preparation and implementation of the Project Quality Plan, the Quality Control Plans and procedures;
- supporting the PM in the implementation of the Project Quality Plan and checking its adequacy, taking care of the issue, distribution and updating of the same and the relative procedures;
- interfacing with the Client’s representatives for matters concerning quality;
- making sure that all specific quality requirements stipulated in the project contract are identified and documented, guaranteeing that the Project Quality Management System is established, implemented and maintained in compliance with the company Quality System and company requirements;
- checking that efficient and adequate procedures - consistent with company ones - are envisaged to develop the project and draw up quality control plans and check lists to follow the development of the project;
- making sure that an effective project organisation and adequate work criteria are established and documented in the Quality Plan;
- defining inspection criteria for the activities during the execution phases and relative procedures;
- training project personnel on observance of the quality requirements envisaged in the Quality Plan and linked to specific activities;
- checking that an effective document management system has been introduced and kept according to specific project needs, above all with regard to document identification;
- checking the flow of information and documents, in collaboration with the Project Manager and the Worksite Engineer;
- establishing control measures and the resolution of non-conformities, monitoring the state of the project quality reference indicators (KPI) and notifying the parties involved (Client, Company Quality Coordinator, Branch Quality Manager and Project Manager) of any quality problems, supporting them in the identification of suitable solutions;
- identifying any shortcomings or negative conditions affecting quality, investigating the causes of origin, with the support of the worksite engineer and the Project Team, requesting adequate corrective actions and checking, over time, the effectiveness of the same;
- developing a Project Audit Plan and assessing its effectiveness;
- preparing his section of the weekly/monthly project report;
- inspecting the worksite plans, in compliance with the project requirements and involving the Client’s representatives if requested.Requirements
- Engineering degree.
- Good knowledge (written and spoken) of English and Italian too.
- At least ten years' experience in a similar position in EPC projects, Oil & Gas sector.
- Good interpersonal, strong communication skills and a results-orientated individual is a must.
- Ability to motivate Team and manage personnel.
