You will be located in the Global R&D site of Porcia (Italy). Porcia is the biggest Electrolux site in Italy, dedicated to our Product Line Care. Here we develop Washing Machine, Dish Washer and Tumble Dryer for our consumers worldwide.

We are a strong team of leaders and skilled engineers who work on European projects of Tumble Dryers. We are looking for a Project and Technical Leader to coordinate activities and projects working team in a multicultural R&D environment for the Business Area Europe. You will be responsible for the execution and the reporting of the respective projects and technical activities in the given time frame, cost target and quality level.

**Responsibilities**:

- Execute projects in the given time frame, cost target and quality level, from early definition to the approval of production series and participate in all project specs definition and range deployment together with main stock holders
- Support Project Portfolio and related Product Development activities within Platform Team
- You will be responsible of project investments, timing and final approval
- Lead cross functional project teams
- Support suppliers discussions to solve technical issues
- You will take care of all aspects and potential emergencies linked to the project and drive proper escalation to Steering Committee in time, if and when needed (resources availability, unexpected contingencies, gaps to Project targets, etc.)
- Dialogue with and coordinate all relevant Project Functions: Product Line, Marketing, R&D, Quality, Manufacturing & Engineering, Financials, Supply Chain, Purchasing, etc,
- Report in Check Point meetings/steering team meetings for projects
- Support cost reduction and quality improvement
- Ensure that new products/projects fit into the platform and subsystem structure and test and pilot series within whole R&D and Factory
- Ensure execution of product & process FMEA, as well as of product Risk Assessment, making use of tools & system the Company makes available for the purpose. Lead project through lean development principles and quality tools like 6 sigma, FMEA´s, project planning tools etc
- Ensure standardization and modularization
- Support all activities for Variant creation with local R&D (user manuals, bill of materials, graphics, etc.) and new component and product specifications

Qualifications:

- Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred; other technical field Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in R&D function.
- Previous experience in projects management or technical leadership Knowledge of the main manufacturing processes (metal forming, molding etc.)
- Basic knowledge of 3D design tool (CATIA is preferred) and basic knowledge of thermodynamics
- Basic Knowledge of 6 sigma, lean development, agile development
- Structured and engineering approach to problem solving; ability to maintain high level of energy and intensity all along the entire project
- Basic Knowledge of main manufacturing processes (metal forming, injection moulding, die-casting) and assembling
- Basic Knowledge of FMEA and Risk Assessment methodologies and product cost structure & financial principles (DM, DL, F-OH, fixed & variable costs, Ebit %, etc.)
- Previous experience in dealing with Suppliers of components realized with (and utilized for) extremely high production volumes
- Advance excel usage is very appreciated (Vlookup, CountIF, SumIF, data sorting and filtering, building charts and graphs, utilizing Pivot tables)
- Excellent collaboration skills and ability to communicate effectively
- Fluent English and Italian language
