IRCCS San Raffaele Scientific Institute in Milan, Italy, is looking for a Bioinformatician for a Staff Scientist position to join the Molecular Basis of Cystic Kidney Disorders Laboratory.

**Main activities**:
A Bioinformatician position is available in the ERC-funded laboratory of Dr. Alessandra Boletta at San Raffaele Scientific Institute in Milan to join a team working on performing single cell RNA-sequencing on kidneys, as well as organellar proteomics using innovative proximity labelling systems.
scRNAseq is already well established in the lab (Clerici, Spies et al, in preparation) and the new staff scientist will be embedded into a highly dynamic group. The fellow will work in close collaboration with two experienced postdoctoral fellows: one bioinformatician and one performing the wet part of the work. The fellow will further have the opportunity to collaborate closely with the San Raffaele Omics sciences center (COSR). In addition to the primary task of RNAseq data analysis, the staff scientist will be in charge of supervising younger investigators, to contribute to the set-up and to provide innovative insights into other “omics” type of analysis such as metabolomics and proteomics.

**Who we are looking for**:
well organized, highly motivated team player
excellent training in bioinformatics (possibly a PhD in bioinformatics), and/or relevant training/experience
command line interface usage and at least one coding language : R or Python
prior research experience on data mining, statistics or scRNAseq will be considered a plus
