**SUMMARY OF POSITION**

This is a key commercial enabling position partnering with our customers and LBS Sales and Service teams within the LBS Italian organization. This role is key to upskilling and leading the way in “best practice” tender submission. He/she is capable of understanding in depth the requirements of a purchasing organization while creating best in class proposals. This will include but is not limited to, driving for effective end to end administration of designated tenders.

This role will be hybrid (3 days office in Buccinasco (MI), Italy/2 days home)

**Key Responsibilities**:
100% focus on VOC and capabilities with the Tender Office organisation to meet our customer demands.

**People Development and Leadership**

Lead the development and growth of all associates through the Team organisation including engagement, career planning and retention of top talent.

**Compliance**

Ensure compliance to revenue and order recognition policy and any other Leica policies. Ensure full team alignment and cooperation with the Finance organisation in support of data integrity.

**Tender Process Activities**

Ensure that all the tender activities are processed in term of quality and respecting all local requirements.

Lead the tender submission process through ongoing partnership with our sales and service teams. Develop “Best in Class” approach to the Tendering Process for Leica Biosystems Italy

Translate customer request into a strong commercial proposal

Track, download and upload documentation and work within customer specific portals.

Coordinate activities between all stakeholders throughout the duration of the tender process.

Collate all sub-contractor tender responses into the single master document.

Create and execute a plan to be shared with all the tender stakeholders (action plan) to manage the documentation needed to participate in the tender process.

Completion of company specific information.

Continue to check for clarification during the tender period and submit accordingly

Act as a gate keeper and project coordinator to ensure all customer files for the Tenders are collected, prepared and ready for submission

Provide regular updates to the different stakeholders during the tender process

Ability to quality assess and refine content submitted in the assistance of bid responses

Understanding Terms & Conditions both from customers as from Leica Biosystems

Ability to meet submission deadlines

Maintain documents held within Tender library and database

Maintain Key Performance Indicator measurements to track improvements of the tender delivery process

Complete supplier questionnaires

Update tender performance and report out to management team quarterly; actively improves the processes around tender management

Advise Sales Enablement Managers of tender evaluation criteria and scores, to drive quality and tender outcome performance in the future.

**Process Optimisation**

Ensure that all Back Office related processes are continuously streamlined and optimized within the respective Shared Services Zones by sharing best practices across Europe.

**FIRST SIX MONTHS EXPECTATIONS**

(List in order of importance the position objectives & measurements associate will be expected to deliver within the first six months of employment.
- Understand the current state and enable best practice leadership of the tendering process for Leica Biosystems.
- Identify process and tools to enhance our customer experience with LBS
- Identify Tender process to redesign/improve within the first 12 months
- Provide comprehensive monthly reports about key activities
- Ensure annual D4G/P4G objectives are in place for all members of the Team
- Build a strong partnering relationship with other regional tender teams and network with other Danaher Operating Companies.

**Experience**
- Working experience in a similar job;
