**About the Role**:
We are looking for a **Junior Bioinformatician** with a strong interest in **metabolomics** and **lipidomics** to join our research team focused on **lysosomal storage disorders (LSDs) models**. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career bioinformatician to develop expertise in data analysis and interpretation of high-throughput mass spectrometry datasets. You will work closely with senior scientists, supporting ongoing projects and learning advanced bioinformatics techniques.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assist in the **analysis** of metabolomics and lipidomics datasets from **mass spectrometry** experiments.
- Develop and maintain bioinformatics **pipelines** using **R or Python** for processing and analyzing omics data.
- Collaborate with senior team members to support **data integration** and **biological interpretation** of results.
- Contribute to project reports and scientific publications, presenting findings as needed.
- Ensure the reproducibility of analyses and workflows.
**Essential Qualifications**:
- **Master's degree** in **Data Science**, **Bioinformatics**, **Computational Biology**, or a related field.
- Proficiency in **R or Python** for data analysis.
- Strong interest in **metabolomics**, **lipidomics**, or bioinformatics-related research.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills in **English** (written and spoken).
**Desirable Qualifications**:
- Experience working in **high-performance computing (HPC)** environments.
- Familiarity with **Bash** scripting and basic **machine learning** methods.
- Knowledge of **containerization technologies** (e.g., Docker, Singularity) for reproducible research.
- Understanding of **mass spectrometry** data and omics technologies such as **metaboloomics**.
- Previous experience or interest in **lysosomal storage disorders** or related genetic diseases.
