Operation Leader

We are currently seeking an Operation Leader for our paper-making plant located in Lucca. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire manufacturing setup. With a team of direct reports and approximately 37 operators, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing the production processes.

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will assume significant responsibility for the plant's operations. Lucca 1's site, a division of Essity PLD, is renowned for its specialization in the production and transformation of tissue paper. It serves both the B2B mother reels market and provides intercompany mother reels supply.

**What You Will Do**
- Act as Role Model for Safety; responsible for development of the organizational capability to get the expected results and provide utmost leadership, direction setting and coaching. Safety First.
- You are the ultimate responsible of 5M’s (Men, Machines, Materials, Methods, Measures), in SQCDM perspective (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale).
- You deliver effective Continuous Improvement for both daily and long term perspectives (thru hi-class manufacturing methods as TPM, 5s, HMex tools & practices ); this to be also pursued through most effective networking & collaboration within the Company
- Responsible for the strategic development & deployment of the maintenance plan (including cost)
- Contributes to draft & deploy the plant’s CBN, toward Business as well Cultural ambitions.
- Transform CBN in yearly plans, leading thru “Envision, Energize, Enabling” principles (3 E’s) at every level of the organization; set Not financial KPI’s goals, acting until full achievement.
- Ensures the department delivers required production in “Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale” perspectives (all factors to be fulfilled with no compromises)
- Accountable for the Department’s Operational Budget, as well Identifying CAPEX needs to support mid-long term vision accomplishment.
- Accountable for People Performance Management process as well responsible for consequence management within his/her department

**Who You Are**
- You have a graduation in Engineering Disciplines; equivalent culture can be taken into account when proven by facts
- You are a game changer, ready to take a challenge, delivering a cultural change in Team environment
- You have an appropriate background in plant operations in Fast Moving Consumer Good ; background in papermaking maybe considered a plus (despite not considered a “must”)
- You have strong passion for manufacturing / operations / technology
- You have a Continuous Improvement mindset, solving problems at root cause with no compromises
- You manage people, with strong orientation to Team Building
