**Product Development Internship (M/F)**

Bayer CropScience is looking for a highly motivated new graduate student willing to join the Corn Product Development team in Olmeneta (CR) for a 6 months internship (May-October 2023).

In our site we are responsible for the selection of new corn products for the Mediterranean market (Italy, Turkey and Spain).

This is a chance to work in an innovative and international environment with a professional team and an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience of plant breeding.

During the 6 months you will acquire a deep understanding of the corn breeding workflow while being exposed to the different projects and daily activities planned during the season starting from the early growth stages until harvest, data analysis and advancement decisions.

You will work within the Product Development and Seed Production teams on these main activities:

- Planning and executing seed production activities (capacity requests, seed preparation, nursery planting, pollination, harvest)
- Collecting phenotypic data in open field trials and nursery placed in Lombardy area (flowering data, plant and ear height, lodging, response to diseases);
- Data management into dedicated databases;
- Data analysis using custom softwares.

**WHO YOU ARE**
- Graduate students from no more than 12 months holding a Bachelor or Master Degree in Agriculture-related degrees
- Passion for plant science and good knowledge of genetics and agronomy
- Good computer skills
- Good communication skills
- Good knowledge of English
