Shop Operator

**Job Description Summary**: At Avio Aero, a GE Aviation Business unit, we’ve been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years. We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.

In a Lean manufacturing environment, the Shop Operator will be involved within the Shared Ops. production Area.

**Essential Responsibilities**
- Work with a variety of manual tools to produce products that meet required specifications in accordance to standard work
- Understand and work in accordance with specs and Manufacturing instructions
- Comply with all applicable quality, health, safety, and environmental directives and regulations
- Complete required documentation with accurate information such as routers, labor reporting, checklist, and inspection reports
- Refer to appropriate person(s) e.g. supervisor or technical experts when issues arise and collaborate in correcting errors
- Verification parts’ s compliance with requirements by the use of precision measuring instruments and deburring tools
- Handling and lifting operations with cranes
- Suggest ideas supporting continuous improvement process

**Qualifications/Requirements**
- High School Diploma with solid experience in aeronautical manufacturing environment
- Knowledge and previous experience on Frames Shared Ops inspection activities
- Knowledge and ability to read and understand technical procedures and instructions
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawing and specifications
- Availability to work on 3 shifts and extra-time work
- Ability to work within a team
- Proactive approach with positive “can do” attitude
- Knowledge and ability to use precision measuring instruments
- Knowledge of Italian and English
- Work visa in accordance with local regulation is required
