Open Research Position in Geochemistry of Natural Carbonation Systems - Join the STORECO2 Team
Two-year research position within the STORECO2 project, a multidisciplinary initiative focused on exploring the natural carbonation systems that have resulted in the formation of ultramafic-hosted magnesite deposits. This project represents a unique opportunity to contribute to our understanding of natural CO2 storage processes, offering new insights into sustainable solutions for climate change mitigation.
The position will be based at the Institute of Geosciences and Earth Resources (IGG) of the National Research Council of Italy (CNR), located in Pisa. The work will focus on petrological, geochemical, and isotopic studies of ultramafic carbonation systems with a significant component of hands-on fieldwork in the Ligurian ophiolite of Tuscany (Italy).
