Mechanic Technician

JOB TITLE: MECHANIC TECHNICIAN

Location: International-Vicenza-Italy

**Must already have an ACTIVE Italian/EU work permit to be considered**

**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Repair, rebuild or overhaul major assemblies of internal combustion automobiles, buses, trucks or tractors.
- Replace worn or broken parts such as piston rings, bearings, or other engine parts; grinding and adjusting valves; rebuilding carburetors; overhauling transmissions; and repairing fuel injection, lighting and ignition systems.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Proven maintenance, repair, technical experience and background in industrial manufacturing, commercial maintenance or military operations or maintenance.
- Must obtain or already have an active Italian/E.U. work permit to be considered.
- 6+ years of qualified automotive maintenance experience. Qualified mechanical experience includes one or more of the following: light or heavy-duty trucks, tractors, tactical vehicles, aviation ground support systems, generators, power plants, aircraft or any diesel or gasoline powered equipment or vehicle.
- Experience with maintenance support to include operations, system troubleshooting, engineering, design, installation, analysis, maintenance and repair of U.S. systems and subsystems to component level.
- Experience with a variety of hand tools, diagnostic tools, power tools, and/or multi-meters.
- Ability to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening.
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED.

**Desired Qualifications**:

- Hold an existing Italian or European Work VISA is preferred.
- Prior training or maintenance experience on MRAP FOV systems.
- Preferably familiar or knowledgeable with MRAP/RCV systems.
- Ability to meet the government deployment physical requirements.
- Willingness to travel to various OCONUS locations.
- Some OCONUS deployments may be to hostile ("war zone") environments with additional Per Diem and Hazardous Duty Pay.

**Security Clearance Requirements**:

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a (DoD) Public Trust clearance.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and kneel.
- Must be able to work in high noise areas.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
- Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Word and Excel.
