Who we are looking for

Purpose

Chiesi Foundation is a non-profit organization operational since 2010 and the expression of the social responsibility of Chiesi Farmaceutici, whose aim is to improve the access and the quality of health care services and to alleviate the suffering of patients and their families, suffering from chronic respiratory diseases and neonatal diseases in the low
- and middle-income countries.

Chiesi Foundation international cooperation program is focused on 3 main areas:
1) international scientific research program;
2) the implementation of the NEST - Neonatal Essential Survival Technology, a model aiming at reducing the newborn mortality rate with a specific focus on the francophone African countries;
3) the implementation of the GASP - Global Access to Spirometry Project which aim is to establish a model for the prevention, diagnosis and management of chronic respiratory diseases such as asthma and COPD.

Under the supervision of the Chiesi Foundation Coordinator, the Communications & Events Officer is responsible to promote the work of the Foundation, extend our reach and build engagement within our community, through the management of our digital communication, the production of communication materials and the organisation of the Foundation’s flagship annual events, as well as scoping, shaping and project managing events and webinars for internal and external stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities
- Maintain a communications calendar with key events, dates, and deadlines throughout the year.
- Develop and maintain contents on the website and CF’s social media accounts including but not limited to: ensuring content up to date, prompt posting of new stories/information, answering all messages and coordinate with other internal functions;
- Develop and implement an effective communications plan based on our target audience;
- Design and manage the delivery of communication products, including content for websites, blogs, case studies, news stories, picture stories, social media or other digital assets, printed materials including leaflets, banners, posters, videos, audio stories, etcetera;
- Develop presentations and project papers or outline for fundraising purposes;
- Coordinate the content collection, drafting, editing and graphic design of the CF’s annual report;
- Manage the photo library, take photograph and videos, maintain a catalogue of photos and supply photos to other teams as required;
- Plan, promote and develop fundraising and promotional events, onsite and online;
- Develop ideas for new types and formats of events aiming at engaging our internal community, partners and stakeholders, and new ways to promote events and their outputs;
- Define, propose and draft the CF’s brand guidelines for external communications and visibility;
- Liaise with Chiesi Group Communication Team to ensure alignment on common initiatives and fruitful cooperation.
- Supporting the organization and coordination of internal and external NEST & GASP sensitization activities and networking events.

Education

Master’s Degree in Communication studies, Social studies or similar areas.

Languages

Fluent in French, English and Italian.

Technical Skills
- Solid experience in the production of communications tools and materials, with excellent writing skills in English.
- Proved experience in social media management and website content management and production.
