We are looking for an individual to support IFSA’s program in Rome. This part-time position provides high quality academic and cultural support for undergraduate students studying with IFSA. You will organize co-curricular activities and personal check ins that support student learning and satisfaction outcomes.

In this position, you will work closely with all members of the local team, as well as with global colleagues from Health & Safety, Academic Programs, and Student Engagement.

This position will have work cycles that are more intensive requiring at times evening and weekend hours.

In this position, your responsibilities would include:
- Initial point of contact for general student inquiries.
- Support orientation, excursions, and other events as needed, with a special focus on custom programs planning, delivery, and post-delivery follow-up.
- Assist IFSA staff and faculty with planning and delivery of co
- and extra-curricular activities.
- Assist IFSA staff and faculty with all matters concerning student life, including periodical welfare check ins. Conduct appreciative advising meetings, and regularly meet with students to assess their experiences and help resolve problems.
- Perform general clerical duties and support academic management of programs, including the course registration process.
- Purchase misc. household supplies, tools, or food and drinks for special events and similar, collect invoices from the various local suppliers and monitor budgets, expenditures, and receipts.
- Assist students and faculty regarding health questions, i.e. scheduling doctors’ appointments and/or accompanying students to medical appointments (during office hours).
- Assist with pre-/post lecture set-up, clean-up.
- Contribute to emergency response and student incident management based on established protocol and participate in after-hours emergency phone rotation.
- Contribute to student communication management, including emergency communications, weekly newsletters, customized itineraries, and social media presence.
- Support IFSA staff and faculty in all housing issues.
- Support IFSA staff and faculty ensuring completion of all program evaluations for feedback/continuous improvement planning.
- Attend all pre/during/post meetings for briefings/debriefs on the programs.
- Other duties and projects, as assigned, that may include opportunities to contribute to other IFSA site operations via remote work; opportunities to work with Student Engagement on pre-arrival student advising, including collation and presentation of pre-arrival student webinars; opportunities to work with Institutional Engagement to develop institutional partner relationships.

Requirements, Work Experience and Education- Work experience in sectors such as higher education, tourism, event planning, or hospitality preferred.
- Strong time management and planning skills, with the ability to work independently to execute time-sensitive tasks and duties successfully.
- Strong attention to detail in creating internal and external documents and in managing program and administrative data.
- Agility with technology, including the ability to learn how to engage with multiple systems and our database platform, Salesforce.
