**About You**:
As the Italian Tax Specialist, you will be accountable for the control of the Italian tax affairs for Kimberly-Clark companies, including VAT compliance, US tax reporting, Italian corporation tax compliance, local taxes compliance, property tax compliance and risk management. You will also support relationship with local tax authorities as well as managing the tax audits and you will work across departments as unique point of contact for any direct/indirect tax matters in the Country.

The role is responsible for the preparation of the tax returns and their submissions (with the exclusion of Employment Tax) in close cooperation with external tax advisors. Furthermore, it requires an exposure to international tax accounting and reporting (US GaaP).

You will report to the Senior EMEA Tax Manager and will be an individual contributor (no direct reports).

**YOUR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Managing the preparation of statutory tax reports and filings, liaising with Financial reporting, senior management, external auditors and the tax authorities as required.
- Managing VAT & other indirect tax and audit queries from the business and tax authorities, providing source of expertise and confidence on advice given.
- Implementing VAT recovery opportunities and supporting Import/export Team on Customs VAT related matters.
- Liaising with the Financial Reporting Team and International Tax COE to produce robust tax forecasts, which will enable any future tax issues and opportunities (incentives) to be identified and potentially mitigated or achieved as appropriate.
- Monitoring Italian tax legislation developments and communicating within Kimberly Clark. Identify and implement planning opportunities with other members of the International and EMEA Tax teams and external consultants.
- Managing tax queries and auditing issues from external auditors and tax authorities, related to Italian direct/indirect tax filings and providing support to any direct/indirect tax accounting request.
- Supporting outsource partners and Financial Reporting Team on month-end tax close, including managing tax accounting and technical queries from International Tax team.
- Supporting the GBS Tax manager and International Tax COE for other Italian/Ad-hoc tax matters and liaising with other teams and external consultants as necessary to facilitate work demands when they arise
- Participating to Tax related Projects within the EMEA Region;

**WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU**:

- Good experience/knowledge of Italian Income Tax calculation (IRES/IRAP) and VAT and of the Italian tax laws
- Certified Accountant (Dottore Commercialista/Esperto Contabile) or qualified by experience, technically competent of Italian tax law/legislation, rules and tax accounting
- Experience of interpreting and clearly articulating complex tax matters
- Exposure to US & Italian GAAP tax accounting
- SAP general ledger experience preferred
- CCHI experience preferred
