New products bring new challenges - in the way we source and buy raw materials, in the way we engineer and manufacture, and in our supply chain planning.

YOUR ‘DAY TO DAY’

As Vertical Start Up Lead, you will be part of Manufacturing department for Philip Morris Manufacturing & Technology Bologna and will be reporting to the Manager VSU (Vertical Start Up). The position will be based in Crespellano, BO.

A key responsibility will be, ensure initiative Execution using VSU Work process & Standard across IM phases Manage VSU team and activities to reach Initiative VSU success criteria. Lead IM work process creation in early stage collaborating with VSU manager or Project manager (VSU Success criteria/VSU assessment/CQV plan/TT&T plan) and lead their execution during deployment. Manage proper initiative with standardized IM tools.

Specific responsibilities include:

- Ensure compliance to all PMI and legal standards, policies and guidelines related to Environment, Health, Safety, Sustainability to prevent personnel, asset or societal loss.
- Act and promote an interdependent and transparent safety culture fostering the utilization of preventive/predictive approach in line with Open+/IOS
- Ensure compliance to all PMI Quality Assurance and QMS standards, to prevent Quality Incident and Serious Quality Incident over Project execution. Act and promote quality culture fostering the utilization of preventive/predictive approach in line with Open+/IOS (Q Flag,QBOS, ETC). Make Sure Commission Phase will be fully alignment with QMS phase (PQB), guarantying highest quality performance over the full CQV cycle.
- Define initiative planning inside production in collaboration with Production, VSU Manager and Project Manager. Create a Initiative working schedule using IM structure to ensure proper preparation and Excellent CQV execution to reach VSU target. Lead completion of the Early Phase IM work process (VSU Success criteria/VSU assessment/CQV plan/Hiring Plan/FTD/pFMEA-eFMEA) prior the Project approval phase (e.g.: 650 approval). Monitor project progress, lead activities through the VSU team, making sure all the IM deployment work process are properly executed and delivered (VSU Assessment/TT&T plan/CQV preparation with working files, FAT end so on).
- Manage project plan by reviewing Work process status, Deliverables, risk mitigation plan and schedule changes. Prepare readiness of CQV phase and directly lead Commissioning and Qualification phase to match success criteria and move to V phase to deliver VSU target. Make all necessary arrangements to support the start-up team to reach the VSU target (60 shifts) during verification phase
- Define Initiative VSU team and overall resources needed to deliver the VSU (time, Manufacturing resource, VSU resource, etc.). Make sure that manufacturing resources are available and qualified. Make sure that all the risk/mitigation/resource needed in the early stage are properly communicated into Initiative financials and approved. Make sure that the relevant production resources are available to deliver initiative to get VSU.
- Support the Internal IM pillar taking in case ownership of VSU work process. Ensure self and qualify team capabilities based on step-up cards according to I OS/OPEN+ in autonomous/self-sufficient teams

Requirements & Skills:
University degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, etc.)

Minimum of 2- 3 years of experience

Manufacturing Background (LL/PL/ML)

Expertise in RTT

Knowledge of IM Pillar and VSU tools

Practical Knowledge of Key Open+ pillar and tools (AM, PM, FI)

Production environment

PC literate (Word, Excel, Ppt). OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 knowledge

Presentation and stakeholder management Skills

Fluent English and Italian
