**Position Context**

Gruppo Campari Business Unit SEMEA (Southern Europe, Middle East & Africa), based within Group HQs in Milan, comprises the commercial responsibility over all Aperitifs & Spirits markets falling within the Region composed by Italy, Spain, France, Greece, South Africa and Partnership Markets (including rest of Southern Europe, Middle East & Africa).

The SEMEA Partnership Markets organization team, led by the Managing Director and composed by Sales & Marketing professionals, looks after the successful development of Gruppo Campari brands, through effective partnership with our third parties’ distributors in the Region, split among 2 macro Areas: SEMED (Southern Europe and Mediterranean Region) and Rossa (Rest of Sub-Saharan Africa).

The Area Manager SEMED, reporting to the AREA Director SEMED, has direct accountability over the area of Turkey, the Middle East and Malta, belonging to tiers 1 & 2 according to the SEMED Country Matrix.

The mission of the role is to deliver and exceed business results in the assigned countries by designing and executing a long-term sustainable growth business vision, the Route-to-Market, the commercial & marketing strategies alongside with the Marketing and Customer Marketing team, as well as by driving the day-to-day relationship with the third-party distributors.

**Key Activities & Responsibilities**
- Full accountability of his/her Sub-Region: Commercial responsibility for the Countries performance

(P&L ownership, pricing strategies, distributors performance and processes) Co-leading the Country, Channel & portfolio strategy.
- Establish effective routes to Market, defines and agrees yearly plans for the area of responsibility; ensure & supervise quality execution of said plans through the effective management of third-party distributors.
- Identifies portfolio optimization and enlargement opportunities. Working closely with Finance to build business cases, implement new launches, in line with the strategic directions of the Region.
- Participates in the main decisions pertaining to changes to the Route-to-Market, including scouting and proposing new players, evaluating different distributors’ set up &/or our most effective in market presence (Brand ambassador, etc.)
- Contributes to the annual 3-years strategic business plan for its area of responsibility.
- Lead the day to day relationship with the distributors, mastering the key market performance indicators. Analysing the business evolution and the competitive set, builds awareness of on-going trends and relevant insights in the markets to identify possible growth levers, with the final aim of maximizing performance
- Responsible for business planning and monthly sales forecasting process to ensure effective and timely shipments and accurate financial planning.

Closely liaises with Sales Support Specialists to ensure that best in class customer service is provided to our customers

**Key Relationships**

**Internal**: Area/Country Managers, Sales Support Specialists, SEMED Marketing & CCM team, Finance & Demand Planning team.

**External**:Commercial and Marketing teams within third party distributors.

**Experience & Education**
- Minimum 10 years of relevant marketing and sales experience, within a structured multinational company
- Relevant experience in the Spirits, Wine and Beer industry is a strong plus
- Having managed third parties distributors is a plus
- Experience in premium brands development in a structured multinational context (incl. being exposed to different marketing roles: global / regional / local / trade marketing etc )
- Economics / Marketing / Business Administration University Degree
