Xylem has the objective to progressively digitize shop floors, creating scalable frameworks of systems and solutions and unlocking the value of Advanced Data Analytics.

The person in this role will coordinate this effort, designing the architecture and planning the execution related to all IT/OT HW and SW solutions in the manufacturing area, defining the best strategic approach in partnership with the Business peers and the Central Advanced Manufacturing & I4.0 team.

The scope of this role includes any SW and IT/OT solution applied to the manufacturing process such as MES, CMMS, Quality SW, Utilities Monitoring SW, preventive Maintenance tools (not limited to) and all machine connectivity/OT topics.

The Shop Floor Digitization SME is an experienced technical problem-solver in the field of shop floor digitization and machine connectivity, who brings significant experience with implementing these solutions in industrial manufacturing environments.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

In close partnership with GC/Business, Central IT and external technology providers and manufacturing companies:

- Define Architecture and strategic execution planning/ roadmap for the Shop Floor digital ecosystem in Xylem, including machine IoT, connectivity and networking
- Assist/Conduct assessments of innovative emerging technologies related to shop floor digitization and machine connectivity to guide the company current and future programs and technology offerings
Share best practices, create playbook (to feed into our Xylem Production System), foster internal/external benchmarks and generating new valuable ideas, through specific initiatives such as creating a Xylem Community of Practice/CoE concept
- Foster and develop One Company culture and cooperation with broader IT functions, ITP, ITC and any other function/tower
- Manage Vendors & Partners Relationship, creating opportunities of enterprise synergy
- Participate on need to the Factory 4.0 team (SPRINT initiatives management process) and the CoC steering committee

**REQUIRED EXPERIENCE**
- 10+ years’ business experience in global/international company, covering roles in IT/OT, Infrastructure and network, IoT space
- Broad IT understanding in term of system architecture, data structures, analytics, network and cybersecurity
- Specific experience in designing and implementing IT /OT ecosystem architecture for multi-site, brown field operations/Manufacturing environments
- Proven track record of Digitization and Industry 4.0 projects implementation, including SW implementation (MES, CMMS, Quality SW, Utilities Monitoring SW, preventive Maintenance tools - not limited to), Machine connectivity and sensoring, Digital Technologies implementation (Automation & Robotics - robots, cobots, AMR/AGV ; 3D printing and Additive Manufacturing; RFID; AR/VR)
- Ability to drive hands on execution in the business and strategic thinking with top leaders
- Management/key role participation to enterprise programs/initiatives
- Experience with Thingsworx by PTC is a plus
- Practical experience working on the shop floor with engineer, technician and operators
- Basic Knowledge in System Architecture to contribute to definition of the big data platform to achieve company product and business objectives

**EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION**:

- BSc & MSc in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
- Any Advanced Manufacturing & I4.0 related certification (ie: Certified
