Thales Alenia Space in Rome is a leader in Assembly Integration and Test (AIT) of Satellite systems and subsystems. We have embarked on an ambitious journey to use Digital as a key enabler for growth and being a worldwide reference in Satellite AIT operations. In order to support the Industrialization and Innovation of the Company, which includes Industrial Management, R&D and Industry 4.0 deployment”, we wish to recruit a Senior Industrial Manager. This person will report to the “Head of Industrialization Innovation and R&D Manager” within the Competence Center “Assembly Integration and Testing Italy”, he/she will also work in collaboration with the CCAIT Departments and Information System/Information Technology Authority. To support those activities the Industrialization Manager must provide professional to join our Industrialization and Digital Transformation teams, supporting the Industrial Strategy decision, the Industrial processes monitoring/optimization and the digital transformation initiatives in terms of Industry 4.0. In this role you will cross-functional Digital teams, IT and consulting partners to help them solve for complex problems and needs. We have bold digital initiatives in motion in Digital core, Digital Design, Digital Supply Chain and Digital Manufacturing. We are transforming core business processes of AIT and building new technical and business capabilities tied to our business strategy. You will be leading Industry business architecture, project management, process design, and stakeholder communications.

The responsibilities of this role are:

- Review the entire AIT Value Chain lifecycle and derive strategy (Digital Platform Architecture, Digital Technologies deployment, Culture, People & Governance) towards a data-driven and customer focused organisation.
- Identify and develop digital innovations to reduce operational inefficiencies and transform work processes.
- Facilitate organisation’s understanding of good digital experience and use data-driven methods to enhance customer digital engagement.
- Contribute to the design of technology solutions pertaining to user experience, data quality and security.
- Derive KPIs, driving outcome and adoption for digital transformation within the organisation.
- Take part of Thales Alenia Space digital transformation by identifying new means, tools and way of working
- Drive digital initiatives to change current way of working based on data driven organization
- Perform data analytics in order to find new way of correlating all the data and build models that could support anticipation
- Act as digital focal point for central organizations, i.e. act as business representative by bringing the voice of the team among central projects, deploy corporate tools, cascade information at local level.
- Develop automation of processes currently performed manually with high workload and repeatability
- improve Supply Chain efficiency by using Digital Technologies.
- Assess and Select Digital processes to be applicable in Satellite Production Line including Constellations with High production rate.
- Analyse feasibility and Process breakdown
- Concur to write the URD for Digital Technologies/Architecture identified, support the design and deployment phase at TRL9.
- Drive the change management phases by communicating on the new solutions and accompanying colleagues in their usage of the new tools.
- Steer any improvement that could update the value delivered by the department, i.e. guaranty process robustness, build efficient performance monitoring
- A senior expertise (+10 years) for what concern Satellite “Assembly Integration & Testing” Engineering and Operations
- Experience in Design Thinking / Human-centred Design. Ability to work with internal/external stakeholders to translate their business objectives into digital strategies.
- Experience with Industrial Processes simulation by using Discrete Element analysis using specific SWs (FLEXIM, Witness, Simulink, ecc.).
- Experience in “Business Process Modeling and Notice” (BPMN) by leading with the clarification and design of business needs first, remaining agnostic about technology solutions when appropriate until the business needs are adequately understood.
- Experience with 3D CAD design, CATIA v5 knowledge is preferred.
- Deep Knowledge of the Industrial IS/IT digital Architecture such as PLM, ERP,MES,MRP, Data Lake, IIoT
