- Ability to set a budget, implement action plans and follow up cost and KPI to steer the business
- Knowledge in P&L analyses and impact of different scenarios in its structure and business cases analyse and evaluation
- Ability to put IKEA values in your everyday life and inspire your team
- Country mobility

PORPUSE OF THE ROLE

The City Commercial Navigator creates customer value, growth and optimise long term business performance for IKEA Retail by enabling better business decisions, securing efficiency and leading in accordance with financial and business strategies. This includes securing (financial) business performance, a safe and secure environment in compliance with laws, policies and standards and process. He/she is a pro-active, trustworthy business partner who takes a multi-dimensional view of the business, connecting the needs of customers and the organisation with a complete overview of the profit & loss, and understanding of the balance sheet and cash flow management. She/he will support and challenge the organisation through business-case thinking, will take the lead in developing and promoting lean, simple and effective ways of working.
- Identify and actively pursue business opportunities as they arise
- Be proactive by gettering all the information and tools available to ensure a multidimensional approach, steering the business in order to achieve growth and sustained long term profitability with our customers in focus.
- Use the store’s performance analysis together with knowledge of IKEA and of different working processes across the whole store, to identify proven solutions and ideas to make us quicker, leaner and simpler.
- Provide accurate, timely and relevant business information and expertise to the necessary target groups in a way which inspires and engages them to take meaningful decisions and actions to achieve the goals
- Executes the commercial direction in an efficient and effective way
- Work together with the commercial team, the shopkeepers and Food department to broaden our commercial and financial knowledge, in order to maximise the commercial opportunities in our local market.
- Encourage taking fast action on opportunities as well as acting on customer feedback, competition, supply and performance analysis
- Communicate relevant business information and goals to managers and co-workers, in a way which engages and inspires them to create meaningful actions to achieve our agreed goals
- Be seen by co-workers in all functions as an approachable, trustworthy and knowledgeable speaking partner who leads by example.
- Actively lead and develop cooperation across all areas of the store through working closely together, sharing knowledge and showing understanding of each other’s responsibilities in order to achieve our objectives.
- Work and follow up with appropriate partners to secure the effective implementation of tools, processes and best practice to secure the customer experience and the strong retail foundation.
- Have the full overview of the Profit & Loss (P&L) for the store and understand how different actions impact the different lines in the P&L.
