- **JOB PURPOSE**:overall purpose of the position

IT Specialist must have a deep and broad knowledge of computer software, hardware, and network.

Responsible for planning, designing, organizing, modifying, and supporting the site.

Should provide fast and useful technical assistance on computer systems and answer queries on technical issues along with offering advice to solve them.

Must have good technical knowledge and be able to communicate effectively to understand the problem and explain its solution. It must also be customer-oriented and patient to deal with difficult customers.

Should be able to act as local PMO to support local projects or from the organization as part of global alignment.

- **KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**:6-8 most important duties and responsibilities for the job
- Ensures all desktop hardware, software and components are properly installed and configured on each workstation, provides excellent customer service
- Be visible and available to users who require technical assistance
- Management of incidents, interruptions, and prioritization
- Infrastructure management in Microsoft Windows and Office 365 environment
- Management and revamp of computers and mobile devices
- Periodically carry out IT controls and routines, review and implement security recommendations related to IT infrastructure services and technologies
- Manage budget and procurement
- Renewal and management of maintenance and licensing contracts
- Propose, implement, and contribute to the continuous improvement of IT infrastructure services
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and change management
- **COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS **main regular interactions for the role

**Internal**:
Communication with department stakeholders, IT staff within the EU and at corporate level.

Communication with all IT relative vendors
- **QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS**

**Qualifications**:
**Minimum**: High School

**Preferred**: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar field

**Experience**:
**Minimum**: 3 years

**Preferred**:5 years

**Skills**:

- Knowledge of virtualization concepts (specifically required a VMWare)
- Understanding of Microsoft solutions, firewalls, and networking principles (for troubleshooting and infrastructure assessment)
- Knowledge of backup solutions such as Veeam and Veritas
- Demonstrated focus on customer and interpersonal relationships
- Experience with ITSM tools
- Understanding of ITIL service management concepts
- Fluent in Italian and English (spoken and written)
