**MAIN SCOPE OF THE POSITION/RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Within the Manufacturing Planning Department, the Material Planner will be responsible for analyzing and scheduling the materials requirements for Raw Materials and Packaging components to support the production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements. Key areas also include materials stock and forecast evaluations, constant monitoring of production readiness and materials availability, continuous improvement of responsible areas and support activities related to SAP system maintenance to ensure MRP update.

Issue RDA within materials lead-time, that will be transformed in ODA by the Buyer, to support operational needs. Coordinates with suppliers for any delayed or expedited shipments to meet operational needs.

Responsible for long term material inventory for assigned materials to established goals, closely cooperating with the Manufacturing Planner of each department.

Responsible for material readiness to support production schedule. Key activities for this include, but are not limited to:

- Material Requirement analysis to create material delivery schedule, closely cooperating with the Manufacturing Planner of each department
- Creation and issuance of RDA to supply base
- Supplier follow-up for order delivery
- Lab follow-up for expedited materials to ensure readiness and coordinate with warehouse for materials availability fro QC and production activities

Supports the activities related to system maintenance, priorities definition and reporting to ensure that MRP and other systems are up to date and properly control inventory levels.

This position should be able to work independently with limited oversight and supervision to analyze the requirements for raw and packaging materials, order appropriately, and ensure readiness for production.

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Responsible for raw material and packaging material inventory levels to targeted values, closely working with Buyers also to continuously monitor the inventory turn.
- Ensure that raw material and packaging components are available on time not to impact production requirements, closely cooperating with the Manufacturing Planner of each department.
- When needed, responsible to work with cross functional groups (QC Lab, Warehouse) to expedite release of material needed to support the manufacturing plan and on site availability also from external warehouses.
- Analyze MRP action messages to ensure raw materials and packaging components are available in the right time and quantities to support production plan, closely cooperating with the Manufacturing Planner of each department.
- Responsible for creating and issuing delivery schedules with the supply base through RDA to Buyers (define dates and quantities).
- Delineate appropriate inventory strategies to manage adequate inventory levels and monitor expired, obsolete and rejected material to avoid impact to the operations area, together with the Buyer colleagues.
- Anticipate and communicate any material shortages prior to the official publication of the detailed production schedule, closely cooperating with the Manufacturing Planner of each department.
- Manage material conversions to minimize obsolescence, reduce impact to customer service and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Periodic review and validation of item master data information such as lead times, scrap factor, lot size, order quantities, safety stocks, yields to ensure data integrity for assigned materials.
- Evaluate existing procedure related to materials planning process and implement adequate updates, as needed.
- Handle the MRP chain to ensure adequate updated of MySupply, SAP and to manage the forecast.
- Support Manufacturing Planner, Supervisor in any other special tasks and analysis as requested.

- Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor in Science (BS), Industrial Management, Material Management or Engineering degree.
