Associate Scientist I

**Position Summary**:
**Duties**:

- Carries out assigned projects, laboratory work, and data analysis under the direction of a supervisor
- Operates and maintains laboratory equipment
- Works under supervision with direct instructions
- Carries out routine and semi-routine tasks independently
- Understands and complies with accepted laboratory and safety procedures
- Demonstrates excellent laboratory technique
- Assists in writing test plans and reports

**Education Degree**:

- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry**Required Experience**:
1-2 years of related laboratory experience

**Competencies**:

- Demonstrated experience working successfully in a team environment.
- Maintains a level of technical knowledge consistent with current scientific literature and best practices.
- Assure efficient laboratory operation through acquisition and inventory control of consumables lab supplies.
- Complies with established protocols and within regulatory and laboratory requirements.
- Understands and complies with accepted laboratory and safety procedures.
- Demonstrates good writing skills for: SOPs and their revisions, Test plans/protocols, Laboratory reports, OOS reports.
- Maintains a laboratory notebook and documents laboratory data accurately and timely
- Demonstrates oral communication skills
