**Description**

**What You Will Do**
- Ensure sites operate in compliance with the Italian EHS regulation and maintains an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of Environmental, Health, Safety legislation and best practices.
- Ensure all Accidents, Incidents / Near Misses are reported, investigated and recorded, and that any recommendations are implemented.
- Support all areas of the sites in the completion of EHS risk assessment processes.
- Support Sites and Corporate EHS programs and initiatives, maintain and submit reports as required;
- Maintain ISO 45001 certification and participate in the global EHS audit program to ensure compliance with both regulatory and company requirements.
- Provides technical support on Environmental, Health and Safety issues, monitor and collect leading&Lagging indicators.
- Facilitate continuous improvement by identifying creative solutions to gaps in systems and processes
- Develop a culture of trust with all KES employees by establishing and cultivating relationships through effective interactions and timely response to employees concerns and requests
- Manage timely response to client pre-qualification questionnaires
- Coordinate emergency management drills and exercises to test orgranizations’ systems and response capabilities;
- Facilitate and manage company safety committee and safety improvement teams;
- Identify EHS training requirements and make sure training is delivered on time and kept up to date at any time
- Manage the disposal of controlled waste to meet legal requirements and ensure that contractors and facilities used for the disposal of wastes comply with legislation.
- Supervise the implementation and fulfillment of safety related activities on sites to ensure all work is performed in accordance with local jurisdictional laws, clients and corporate safe work practices;
- Supervise and sustain a contractors vetting program and ensure contractors compliance with EHS requirements through vetting, auditing and oversight.
- Participate in Performing and documenting Site management EHS inspections and audits with special emphasis on hazard recognition and safe behaviors.
- Support the implementation and re-certification of the construction EHS management system to maintain VCA-P
- Serve as resource to all sites H&S personnel in the H&S discipline(i.e. OSHA regulations, State regulations, risk assessment, environmental management, confined space entry.)programs, procedures and policies.
- Support site/plant managers and EHS specialists in any EHS risk reduction initiative
- Support the recruitment team to make sure new hired employees have skills and attitude that align with Koch EHS Vision

**Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)**
- Previous solid experience as Italian H&S officer (RSPP) is a must.
- Italian native speaker, fluent in English
- Be able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the Italian occupational health and safety and environmental regulations
- Experience with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems
- Leadership abilities to drive and influence the team in continuous improvements and changes
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to work in a matrix and multi-cultural environment.
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal employees as well as staff from external organizations.
- Willing to travel in Italy and abroad.
