In our Electrification Business Area, in Smart Buildings division, we are looking for a Category Specialist. You will support regional/global sourcing initiatives either under the leadership of a regional/global category manager or independently if under a defined threshold; purchase materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule and terms; ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Sourcing strategy: support the development and implementation of regional/global sourcing strategies in close alignment with the regional/global Category leader.
- Negotiations: negotiate agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renew pricelists, terms and conditions.
- Excellence: run benchmark studies for the category team and for specific sourcing initiatives.
- Contract Management: create local contract amendments to frame agreements on behalf of a country and update/maintain frame contracts.
- Support: support regional/global sourcing initiatives within a defined set of categories, working closely with key stakeholders to implement regional category strategies.
- Supplier performance: on-board new suppliers in close collaboration with the respective local buyer and run regular supplier evaluations and provide supplier reports to Businesses and Category Managers.
- Orders: run regional sourcing initiatives under a defined threshold. Initiate purchase orders (PO) in the system, according to the Purchase Requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures, and confirm delivery with suppliers, monitor and track supplier performance to purchase order requirements.
- Communication: foster communication internally, externally, and between different Divisions, Business Units and Functions and support the implementation of PL activities and initiatives in the Region/Country through this clear communication.

**Your background**:

- Degree in Management Engineering or Economics
- Previous experience in a similar field
- Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken
- Proactivity and teamwork skills
- Problem solving and result orientation will complete your profile
