Meta System SpA is specialized in research, development and production of electronic power conversion systems for the E-Mobility sector dedicated to electric vehicles (BEV) and plug-in hybrids (PHEV), representing an Italian excellence in the world.

**Power Electronics Magnetic Designer**:
As part of the R&D e-Mobility and reporting to the Hardware Development Team Manager, he is responsible for the design and implementation of the magnetic components of the converters based on the relevant requirements and in collaboration with the Project Team.

**Responsibilities**:
Magnetic design and development for converter’s power stages, based on the internal requirements and sizing of the related components (both standard and custom components: inductors, transformers, CM/DM chokes,...)
Elaboration of magnetic components requirements sheet
Thermal dimensioning of the solution in collaboration with Mechanics Design Dept. for compliance with thermal / cooling requirements
Execution of circuit simulations, Worst Case / Montecarlo type analysis and life estimation
Interface with suppliers for co-design and design for manufacturing feasibility studies
Characterization and integration tests execution on target hardware
Verification of applicable EMC constraints and related testing
Drafting of the relevant project documentation

**Technical Skills**:
Experience in the conversion systems Design such as Active Front End, PFC, DC / DC converter, etc... and related main components sizing
Dimensioning of magnetic components via theoretical calculation, simulation, model validation
Knowledge of challenges of a Power / High Frequency PCB
Circuit simulation tools (PSpice, LTSpice, etc...)

**Main modeling tools (eg**: MATLAB / Simulink, PLECS, etc...)
EMC Ansys suite (HFSS, Maxwell,)

**CAE tools for drafting electrical diagrams (eg**: PADS Designer, OrCAD, Altium, etc...)
Use of laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, network analyzer, spectrum analyzer)
Work safely on live parts

**Qualifications**:
Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering and knowledge of power electronics control
Good English spoken and written.
