**Duties**:
- Attend medical rounds and conferences with the physicians to provide information used in evaluation and implementation of optimal medication plans for inpatients and outpatients.
- Coordinate and/or provide clinical Pharmacy services that involve complex problems of a highly specialized nature.
- Assist the medical staff in designing, coordinating and accomplishing an effective medication utilization evaluation (MUE) program to promote and sustain optimal therapeutic effectiveness and reduce waste.
- Responsible for the pharmacy related operational policies of the clinical area and the functional direction of pharmacy staff members performing tasks related to clinical services.
- When required, performs medications distribution functions to include the filling, checking, counseling, and dispensing of outpatient prescriptions,

- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.

- This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Shifts may be rotated on a regularly scheduled basis.

- Basic Requirement for Pharmacist:
- Education: A doctoral degree in Pharmacy that is recognized by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.
- Exemption: You are exempt from the basic requirement above if you are a current federal employee occupying a position in the 0660 occupational series and have been continuously employed in this occupational series since September 27, 2017 or before. Note: You will be required to provide appropriate documentation to the respective Human Resources Office to validate your status.
- Licensure: A current, active, valid, and unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in a State, a territory of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
- Medical Requirement: Must be able to distinguish basic colors
- Experience: One year of professional pharmacy experience which includes dispensing medication, preparing pharmaceuticals, and providing Pharmacy functions such as developing pharmacokinetics and pharmacotherapeutic regimens.**Education**:

- U.S. citizens overseas under ordinarily resident status are not eligible for appointment under the Status of Forces Agreement.
- If an employee brings a child to an overseas location and that child is entitled to attend a DoD school on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, the DoDEA and the Military Department responsible for providing related services will ensure that the child, if eligible for special education, receives a free appropriate public education, including related services pursuant to DoDI 1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12.
- If an employee brings an infant or toddler (up to 3 years of age) to an overseas location, and that infant or toddler, but for the child's age, is entitled to attend the DoDEA on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, then the Military Department responsible for EIS will provide the infant or toddler with the required EIS in accordance with the eligibility criteria consistent with DoDI 1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12.
- Employees (and family members) who require medical or dental care in the overseas location will be responsible for obtaining and paying for such care. Access for civilian employees and their families to military medical and dental treatment facilities is on a space-available and reimbursable basis only.
- Pay retention may be offered to selected applicants for positions at overseas locations. Pay retention will not be offered as an incentive for employees moving between overseas positions.
