OMI, as part of Ingersoll Rand Group, develops, manufactures and distributes a complete range of products in the field of Compressed Air Treatment and Industrial Refrigeration in over 80 Countries.

**Job Summary**

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for maximising the acquisition of new customers and orders in the assigned territory (Italy, France and Iberia) and with distributions and OEM sales responsibilities in the compressed air and refrigerant business, providing added value to the customer through technical, commercial and partnership skills.

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for managing a Team and will report directly to the Sales Director.

**Responsibilities**
- Directs the sales force to achieve sales and profit goals through market penetration.
- Identifying potential opportunities with existing customers and the acquisition of new customers, resellers, and distributors to meet strategic business objectives.
- Manages multiple areas and adjusts sales goals and procedures for each Area.
- Prepare and review contract terms and conditions using standard Ingersoll Rand contract templates when applicable.
- Evaluates and implements appropriate new sales techniques to increase the sales volume.
- Develops and maintains a competent work force through training, coaching, and establishing goals and objectives.

**Basic Qualifications**
- Post-secondary school degree: vocational degree or university degree (engineering degree will be considered positively), plus a bachelor’s or education in sales.
- Excellent sales and interpersonal skills.
- Extensive travelling.
- Sales experience in industrial environment (refrigerant and compressed air are preferable).

**Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements**

Flexible working, travel within Italy, France, Spain and Portugal.

**Key Competencies**
- Business English knowledge.
- Solid knowledge and distribution channel management with ability to support and trainer sellers in the field.
- A third language Knowledge (Spanish or French) will be considered as a plus, but not essential.
