**Your new role**

As our new Tax and Audit Specialist** **, you will be responsible for overseeing tax compliance, managing tax reporting, and coordinating audit activities across our major operations within Central Europe. This role plays a critical part in ensuring legal and financial compliance in accordance with local regulations and international standards.

Your key responsibilities will be:

- Develop and implement tax compliance strategies and ensure adherence to local tax laws and regulations in Central Europe.
- Coordinate and manage the audit process for the designated countries, liaising with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations affecting the operations in Central Europe, proactively advising on potential impacts and ensuring compliance adjustments.
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Legal, and other relevant departments to ensure alignment of tax and audit initiatives with the overall financial and operational objectives of the organization.
- Continuously evaluate and improve tax and audit processes and controls to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

You will be part of the Central European Finance & Administration team. Our team is vibrant, innovative, international, and supportive. You will collaborate with your colleagues from different countries and will travel to meet them.

Your office will be located in Rome, Milan or Madrid based on your current residence.

**About you**

These include:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) preferred.
- Extensive experience in tax compliance, audit, or a related financial role, preferably within an international setting and with exposure to the mentioned countries.
- Comprehensive understanding of tax laws and regulations in Central Europe.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret financial data and draw accurate conclusions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and external stakeholders.
- Fluency in English; additional fluency in Italian, Spanish, Dutch, French, or Flemish is a plus.
