**JOB PURPOSE**:
Support and ensure the Industrialisation of new product in Hard Accessories. Elevate the performance of the products and the customer experience by implementing standards in the best conditions of quality and cost to assure best products performance in shops
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Ensure the proper support for development and industrialisation (Quality / Cost / Lead time) from prototype to Go Production for all vendors in charge of.
- Participate or manage the different product review meetings and approval process for all categories covered.
- Provide quality and technical specification by category.
- Assess product construction (Risk / Aesthetic / Conception / Cost).
- Drive the product risk management process to identify, assess and mitigate risk.
- Identify opportunities for cost engineering improvement & raw material optimization.
- Define and approve care & content label with Raw Material Engineering Team.
- In coordination with the Technical Team, ensure the risks on products are tested and resulting actions managed.
- Develop relationship with Product Engineering teams across different countries.
- Leverage the use of the Flex-PLM system for completing product assessment & generating tech packs.
- All approval (or reject) status to be officially shared to vendors using official Burberry documents.
- Tracking and follow-up of the activities to be managed thru Flex-PLM and existing trackers in the organisation.
STANDARDISATION & TECHNICAL SUPPORT
- Creation and management of final product standards and manuals to establish and elevate quality standards (conception, processes ).
- Ensure compliance to quality standards and safety regulations.
- Develop and maintain collaborative end to end working relationships with the subcontractor and vendor base, ensuring timely feedback are provided in cost and quality.
- Provide technical input for vendor selection and rating.
- Provide technical input into product withdraw/recalls & root causes analysis from customer/store feedback.
- Lead and manage team projects aligned to core objectives.
**PERSONAL PROFILE**:
- Degree level or similar
- 6+ years of experience within a LEATHERGOOD or related industry
- C.A.D. MOZART GOOD LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE
- PROVEN knowledge ON HARD ACCESSORIES construction
- PATTERN READING and definition
- FACTORY experience
- TESTING KNOWLEDGE WOULD BE AN ADVANTAGE
- PLM/PDM experience would be an advantage + MS Office skills.
