Global Resilience Department covers the following areas:
Business Continuity & recovery
Technology Continuity/ IT DR platforms
Crisis Management
3rd Party & Partner Resilience
Testing &Exercising
Strategy and reporting
Business Continuity role reports to Director, Group Head of BC & Resilience and collaborate with GBLs and local entities BC teamsto ensure we maintain an efficient and effective solutions and plans
The position will also work closely with peers from the GBLsand support functions to continue to build a best in class resiliency.
The role will be in charge to design, coordinate and monitor Business continuity & Resilience approach and bring awareness to the key risks, develop response guidelines to mitigate key business impacts and to respond to significant disruptions
Key duties and responsibilities:
Overall role:
Develop and design global framework, standards and strategies toensure effectiveness with GBLs and to enhance Business continuity, Disaster Recovery (IT) plans and documentations (when applicable)
Oversee and coordinate response strategies for key scenario (IT Platform, Business Operations, Cyber, etc.)
Acts as a key driver and ensures completion of associated Business Continuity requirements
Prepare and maintain ISO certification,
Enhance crisis management plan and tool arrangements
Coordinate and support onthe development of transversal initiatives including response plans for key scenario (ie. 3rd party outage, ransomware, DC outage, etc.)
Identify compliance with evolving requirements and industry standards
Oversee Critical notification tool utilization and enhancement.
Provide support during external audit
Expertise in the following field will be appreciated:
Technology/IT DR continuity:
Enhance, framework and guidelines in line with best practices and internationalstandard requirements
Challenge IT DR effectiveness and provide support/expertise when required
Animate and coordinate IT DR community initiatives
Identify critical third party and key interdependencies andperform self-assessment
Work and align with Business lines to ensure disaster recovery solutions are aligned, in place, maintained, and tested as part of the regular operational life cycle.
Platform Testing and exercising:
Define annual testing plan and monitor test reporting with GBLs and including improvement plan for global reporting
Enhance IT Testing framework and guidelines
Report on BC testing program by participating actively in testing scenarios and improving business continuity/IT DR platform overall maturity and requirements
Collaborate closely with GBLs and local entitiesto gain efficiencies in conducting testing as part of Business continuity framework
Desired Competencies:
Experience in Business continuity,IT DR continuity, crisis management and Resilience to challenge key business areas, Platform/IT departments, Crisis communication, and external providers
Proficiency in testing and challenging plan effectiveness
Required certification in Business Continuity field:
ISO, CBCP, CBCI,
Self-starter, flexible and goal-oriented
Good understanding of local regulations linked to Resilience and Business Continuity
Customer and Business mindset, well-organised with strong problem solving and ability to work in a team
Enjoy working in a multi-cultural and international team
Familiar with working in a matrix environment
Ability to influence Operational Director level and decision-maker
Education Qualifications / Experience Requirements:
Master degree of Business Administration, Management Information systems or similar qualification level
Certification highly recommended on Business Continuity ISO, CBCP, CBCI,
Overall career experience of 5-7 years with expertise in Business Continuity/Recovery, IT Recovery (DR), Crisis management and 3rd party Resilience preferably in Financial services
Risk Management approach and mindset
Management consultancy experience with first experiences within a company
Experience in Banking & Payments Institutions is a plus (e.g. payment services, credit cards, consumer finance, transaction banking, financial services, etc.)
Strong interest in Financial Technology or Digital companies (Fintech)
Languages:
Excellent command of English (verbal and written)
Another EU language is a plus (French, Dutch, German, etc.)
