We are looking for a PDGS AIV Coordinator to support our client based in Frascati, Italy.

In this key role you will work in many key areas, including providing support to PDGS infrastructure configuration, support to GS Overall Validation, support to commissioning implementation and operations preparation.

**About the location**:

**Tasks and Activities**:
The scope of work will include:

- Review of Documentation from various sources during the project phases, dealing with PDGS implementation and testing.
- Support to PDGS sub-systems acceptance (through review of documentation and tests execution witnessing).
- Acceptance by the PDGS Project and Integration of PDGS external CFIs.
- Preparation of PDGS I&V Plans, Procedures and PDGS Test Specification.
- Preparation, organization and execution of the PDGS Integration and Validation tests, including analysis of test results for reports.
- Preparation and Maintenance of the PDGS Verification Control Documents.
- Generation and Management of the Anomaly Reports resulting from the test execution and coordination of the implementation of mitigation actions, including ARB chairing.
- Support to Network and Infrastructure specifications.
- Operation of the various supporting tools (e.g. Documentation Management System, Test Management tools).
- Ad-hoc development of Supporting Tools for the accomplishment of the PDGS integration and validation activities.
- Support to the generation of the GS Validation Plan and Procedures.
- Support to the preparation, organization and execution of the GS Validation test (including analysis and reporting/ARB).
- Support to the verification of data acquired during SVT activities and used as test input at PDGS.
- Support for the management of the operators training and preparation of operational documentation.
- Support to the preparation of the operational set-up for Phase E2 and for the PDGS Transfer to Operations.
- Support to the preparation and execution of PDGS commissioning activities.
- Support to the preparation of the launch and the implementation of rehearsal activities.
- Support to the execution of Routine Operations during Phase E1, including PDGS performance monitoring and reporting.

**Skills and Experience**:
The following skills and experience are mandatory:

- A university degree or equivalent qualification, preferably in Engineering or Remote Sensing.
- Five years of working experience in I&V of complex systems.
- Experience in ground segments implementation, in particular on:

- Analysis and definition of PDGS system requirements.
- Definition and execution of system integration, verification and validation activities.
- Analysis and estimation of system performances.
- System and Software anomalies management: reporting, analysis, classification and resolution.
- Project management experience, preferably in the field of Earth Observation Ground Segment Development.
- Knowledge of the ECSS standards.
- Virtualisation technologies and platforms.
- Able to travel on missions when required.
- A working knowledge of English.

The following skills and experience would be highly desirable:

- Knowledge of the ESA Earth Explorers missions (and instruments) and processes related to their PDGS development.
- Programming experience (to develop tools for the accomplishment of the PDGS engineering, testing and validation, etc.).
- Knowledge of documentation and configuration control management techniques.
- In possession of a System Engineering Certification (e.g.: INCOSE CSEP).
- Knowledge of modelling languages (UML/SysML).
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure architecture/virtualization technology.
