As an Engagement Manager at Workday you are more than just a Project Manager, you are a trusted advisor to our customers - you’ll engage, guide and ensure success in their implementation of Workday’s leading cloud enterprise software products for our Enterprise customers.You will empower and drive our customers’ implementations by setting up the project planning, staffing, governance and shaping the development of the key project deliverables like the project charter or the issues log. As the main point of contact for both customer and Workday teams, you will be working hand in hand with the Customer Project Manager to resolve issues that stand in the way of project success. You will also be responsible for managing the agreed budget and delivering the project successfully and profitably.Engagement Managers are delivery specialists in their area of expertise. In this case the world of Business Applications and more specifically the full scope of the Workday solution related to the Office of the oCFO and oCHRO.- What you’ll be doing-
- Share your experience and provide oversight over other projects and their success within the framework of our Delivery Assurance quality control
- Project manage Workday product implementations
- Participate in the sales cycle when requested to capture requirements, formulate delivery approach and develop a proposal/SOW
- Provide guidance and mentoring to Professional Services resources working on your implementations
- Ensure projects are accurately planned and staffed
- Collaborate to identify/resolve all issues that could impact project scope and/or timeframes
- Work with Workday Partners to ensure project compliance
- Present at Executive Steering Committee meetings
- Be a liaison for Professional Services when interacting with sales and/or business development
- See opportunities to position other service offerings
- Ensure the client can serve as a reference upon completing their implementation
- Assist in the transition of the customer from Professional Services to Product Support
- Ensure the project is delivered within the budget outlined in the SOW- After your first 12 months you'll:- Become an authority in Workday's Implementation Methodology and use it on all engagements
- Share your knowledge and experience in the context of Delivery Assurance and internal initiatives
- Demonstrate competency in leading the Workday HCM, Financials, and/or Planning product suite implementations
- Have Full project P+L ownershipAbout You
The role requires a blended mix of business skills, customer focus and desire to support the Delivery team to secure their success.
Basic Qualifications:
- Languages: Italian and English at business proficiency level-
- 3+ years experience in managing a delivery team in a company or in a consulting environment.- International deployment- Ability to travel up to 50%
Other Qualifications:
- Experience as Executive Sponsor on key projects- Excellent communication skills- Willingness to ‘roll up one’s sleeves’ and assist wherever needed.- Leadership abilities to empower and focus the organisation on team and individual objectives.- Contribute to the strategic direction of the Professional Services organisation through leading and participating on internal initiatives.- Promot
