Procurement Specialist

**Procurement Specialist**:
Axxam is opening a position for a Procurement Specialist, to join its Procurement Department.

The primary objective of a Procurement Specialist is to obtain goods and services for the organization in a cost-effective and timely manner. In addition to this, Procurement Specialists are also responsible for ensuring the quality of purchased goods and services and minimizing the associated risks.

They must also strive to maintain good relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms for the organization.

**Core job responsibilities**:
Register orders in Business Central portal
Sourcing to identify new suppliers
Initiate negotiations to engage in productive relationships
Stimulate innovation and growth to foster business expansion
Ensure receipt of services to meet contract terms
Planning and creating purchase orders (POs) to maintain adequate material flow based on forecasting
Researching and identifying prospective suppliers, evaluating their offering against key business criteria and the required product specifications, and negotiating purchase agreements
Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues and concerns
Knowledge of import/export procedures.

**Required knowledge and skills**:
Proven work experience as a Procurement Specialist or similar role (at least 5 years)
Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies
Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
A bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management or a similar field preferred
Problem-solving skills
Good skills with IT tools
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Fluency in English, written and spoken.
