Billing Associate

**Title**:
Billing Associate

**Job Purpose**:
To assess - on a weekly and/or monthly basis (Client-dependent) - the ability to accurately bill Clients based on the accuracy of raw data available and then to perform a quality control check on billing accuracy, identifying gaps and recommending plans for their resolution. The person will be responsible for liaising with other departments both within and outside Billing Services therefore a strong Customer Services ethic is paramount. Additionally, this role will work with the Credit Control team within Billing Services in the reduction of outstanding debt for their Key Clients.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Entering estimates of expected charges from agents
- Ensure that all expected charges are captured prior to billing validation.
- Follow up on Rates request with the internal RFP Team
- Revise billing claims on invoices, perform appropriate follow up on any issues or mistakes.
- Liaising with all Marken departments when necessary
- Distributing invoices to clients
- Run Reports for billing control prior to invoicing.
- Run Duties and Taxes report and rebill clients (External & Internal) accordingly.
- Provide monthly billing summaries to clients as directed
- Perform other duties as requested by the management.

**Qualifications**:

- Good knowledge of MS Excel
- Analytical mind - evidenced by experience or qualification
- Confidence to recommend alternate ways of data preparation
- 1+ years of related work experience in a fast-paced environment
- Associate or Bachelors’ degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related education
- Ability to quickly formulate independent thinking and strong working relationships with internal and external colleagues

Essential Experience:

- Finance/Billing related experience in a manual context
- Direct Customer support/engagement
- Strong stakeholder management skills, especially as the role is particularly client-facing

Preferred Experience:

- Credit Control
- KPI delivery
