The EIB, the European Union's bank, is seeking to recruit for **Operations Directorate (OPS) - Adriatic Sea Department (MA) - Public Sector and Regulated Operations - Italy, Malta - Division (Rome) (1-PUB SEC (IT,MT)&RG OP), **at its EIB Group Office in Rome, Italy**:TRAINEE**

**_ Duration: 5 months (fixed_**_ start date: 01_**_st_**_ March/April 2024)_**

**Objective of the traineeship**:
You will support the origination and execution of lending activities in Public Sector, Energy and Infrastructure financing in Italy and Malta.

**Responsibilities**:
Under the supervision of the Head of Division and senior colleagues, you will actively participate in the Division’s core activities. Your main tasks will be:

- Provide support in financial and risk analysis of borrowers.
- Prepare and update marketing material used with clients and at public events.
- Research topics of interest for the division's activities and enhance existing datasets on clients /sectors.

**Academic qualifications and professional skills**:

- Final year of studies or University degree preferably in Business Administration or Finance;
- A first experience in the field of financial analysis will be considered as an advantage;
- Excellent knowledge of standard Microsoft Office tools (in particular Excel and PowerPoint);
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and/or French. Knowledge of Italian would be an advantage.
