Commodity Manager

The Technical Components Commodity Manager will join the Purchasing Department in Nice HQ’s.

Main tasks:

- Manage relations with suppliers by negotiating prices and terms and conditions of contracts;
- Play a role in the global strategic planning of purchases;
- Ensure the achievement of saving and improvement targets defined by the management;
- Monitor purchasing performances through proper KPIs;
- Outline the budget for the purchased commodities;
- Work in strict partnership with R&D Dept and Product Engineering area to define the technologies and components to purchase;
- Establish and implement policies and procedures for streamlining processes;
- Perform other job-related tasks and responsibilities entrusted by the Management.

**Requirements**:

- Degree in technical or economic fields, or equivalent experience;
- Previous experience in purchasing offices of complex organizations;
- 5/6 years of experience in purchasing for mechanical and electronical goods and parts (preferably in a consumer goods business);
- Experience in defining purchase budgets and in managing commodities;
- Cost and value analysis expertise as well as experience in global scouting and sourcing of suppliers
- Management of the supplier base, including re-organization and rationalisation of the suppliers base, used to KPI analysis and area reporting;
- Outstanding negotiation skills;
- Previous experience in team management (even functional) will be appreciated;
- Goal-oriented, owns entrepreneurial skills as well as flexibility and adaptability to different contexts;
- Acts as change agent within the organization.
