**Technical Director - Forging Production**:
installation of the production capacity required to meet the company's needs;
industrialisation of new products;
carrying out make or buy analyses for new machinery and technology;
availability of all resources for the operation of the production unit (e.g. personnel, machinery, equipment, consumables, tools, raw materials);
management of technical aspects in relations with suppliers;
definition and assurance of productivity, quality, and production lead time targets;
supervision and coordination of personnel and activities in production, quality control, production logistics;
establishment and verification of production times and industrial costs;
supervision of the progress of production activities;
management and assurance of the correct operation of machinery and equipment;
planning and implementation of production processes and improvements (e.g. raw material utilisation, processing strategies, tools and consumables, processing parameters, set-ups, in-process controls, workstation organisation, space organisation, man/machine balance, operator saturation) involving the production unit personnel;
selection of production and quality control machinery and equipment;
design and implementation of the production and quality control equipment in cooperation with his team;
Hard Skills
bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field
at least 10+ years’ experience in forging of medical device industry and at least 5 years’ experience in a leadership role;
experience and thorough knowledge of production systems and processes;
experience managing teams of people in a production environment, and in developing, implementing and improving key performance indicator metrics through strong data analysis and continuous improvement;
able to stand Competent Authority Inspections / Notified Body Audits;
fundamental understanding of GMP compliance, FDA/ISO compliance in the medical device industry, quality, validations life cycle, change management in the medical device industry;
fundamental understanding of statistical techniques;
fundamental understanding of lean manufacturing techniques;
fluent with common MS office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
good knowledge of the English language (corresponding to B2 of CV Europass).
