**About the role**

We're in search of an outstanding Risk, Environment, Safety and Health Specialist to join our team at our Plant in Altopascio (Lucca). This role is a key part of our RESH department and will report directly to our highly regarded RESH Manager. It's a unique chance to lead improvements in safety, sustainability, and more.

**What You Will Do**
- Risk Analysis: Identify and assess potential health and safety risks in the workplace. This may involve inspecting facilities, analyzing work practices, and collecting data.
- Development of Policies and Procedures: Create policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with current laws and regulations. Ensure proper communication with site functions (RLS, Doctor included) and support them in implementing guidelines and systems
- Training: Provide training to employees to ensure they are informed and aware of risks and preventive measures. Lead sessions on the Company Safety Enablers ( Machine Safety Risk Assessment, Isolation of Hazardous Energy, Job Safety Analysis etc.)
- Surveillance: Continuously monitor workplace conditions to identify potential hazards or non-compliance situations. Ensure knowledge, development and maintenance of management systems ISO 45001
- Incident Investigation: Conduct investigations in case of workplace incidents to determine their causes and develop plans to prevent future incidents.
- Communication: Regularly communicate with employees and company management regarding health and safety matters, promoting a safety culture.
- Legal Compliance: Ensure the company complies with all laws and regulations related to health and safety in the workplace (such as D. Lgs 81/08)
- Performance Assessment: Evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs, identifying areas in need of improvement and developing strategies for corrective actions.
- Emergency Management: Develop emergency response plans and coordinate activities in critical situations.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in workplace health and safety and develop strategies for implementing such improvements.
- Environmental Assessment and Compliance: Conduct environmental assessments to identify negative impacts and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Sustainable Management and Awareness: Develop sustainability strategies, manage waste, monitor air and water quality, promote environmental awareness, and be prepared to respond to emergencies
- Environmental Awareness: Promotion of environmental awareness among employees and encouragement of sustainable practices.

**Who You Are**
- Minimum of experience in health and safety and preferably in Environment, in structured companies with a strong safety focus
- Regulatory Knowledge: good understanding of laws, regulations, and standards related to health, safety, and the preferably environment
- Risk Assessment: knowledge to identify and evaluate health, safety, and environmental risks in the workplace and develop mitigation strategies.
- Emergency Management: Preparedness to handle emergency situations and incidents by developing effective response plans
- Communication: good communication skills to inform and engage employees and management on health, safety, and environmental matters
- Training: Capability to plan and conduct training programs for staff to ensure awareness of safe practices and environmental policies
- Data Analysis: knowledge in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting health, safety, and environmental data for informed decision-making
- Auditing: preferable experience in conducting internal or external audits to assess the effectiveness of RESH programs
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment
- Problem Solving: Skill in problem-solving to address complex health, safety, and environmental issues
- Collaboration: Effective teamwork with other departments and functions to align RESH goals with broader company objectives
- Ability to communicate effectively at different levels of the organization in Italian and preferable also in English.
